Like books? If not, the University of Chicago might not be for you! With over 5,000 volumes, tomes, and scrolls, we boast an impressive collection! When a new Jewish themed book hits the shelves we buy it, so make sure to check our new acquisitions!

While there’s a lot of reading to do for classes, you shouldn’t forget to make time to read what you love. If you don’t have time to read a novel, read a short story or a graphic novel. Our library has a huge selection of books of all kinds. Be sure to check out the new acquisitions area in the second-floor hallway; this is where you will find the lighter fare that you can digest in small bites or on a lazy afternoon. Though we are currently uploading our library catalogue, you can stop by the Hillel building and browse our selection from the 2nd floor computer terminals.

In true UChicago fashion, the Hillel building contains the largest library of any Hillel in the country. The building also features numerous rooms, nooks, and crannies suitable for studying. Come use our free wireless printing or come write your paper in one of the library rooms. Or just sit down and study in a comfortable chair or at a large study table in a much more laid-back atmosphere than the Regenstein.
