Community Programs

​Through generous grants and donations from organizations and individuals, we are able to partner with a variety of local organizations to help build a thriving community on and around campus. ​

SCU:BA

SCU:BA, or "Summer Coding at UChicago Builders Academy", is a summer program in Python programming for Chicago-area public school students from under-represented groups. The program is made possible by a grant from the Successful Pathways from School to Work initiative of the University of Chicago, funded by the Hymen Milgrom Supporting Organization. The program is developed and administered by the UChicago Hillel, Code Your Dreams, and the Department of Computer Science at the University of Chicago.
