High Holidays and "O Week" 2026
This year, the High Holidays and O Week arrive together, bringing a new school year and a new Jewish year at the same time.
Whether you're just starting at UChicago or returning to campus, Hillel is here to help you build community, connect with your traditions, and step into 5787 with reflection and celebration.

Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur
Hillel is a Jewish home away from home. We are honored to have the opportunity to build community through High Holiday experiences for the many students we serve on campus.
While we can't wait to celebrate together on campus, Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur offer an opportunity to spend the Holidays with our families before the academic calendar ramps up.
Planning to be in Hyde Park for Yom Kippur? Tell us what you need in the link below and we'll connect you with our warm Hyde Park Jewish community.
O Week
O-Week is your first chance to find your people at Hillel. From your very first days on campus, whether you're looking for new friends, a Shabbat dinner, or just a place to grab a snack between orientation events, we want you to feel welcomed. Stop by, meet our staff and student leaders, and start building your Jewish community at UChicago from day one.
