AJC Young Leadership Mission to Japan

AJC’s young leadership department, ACCESS, has an exciting travel opportunity this January for students and young professionals.

ACCESS has had many international mission trips in the past, from Azerbaijan to Greece, Chile to Germany. This year, in coordination with AJC’s Asia Pacific Institute (API), they are excited to announce their first mission trip to Japan! API and ACCESS are partnering with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, which runs the Kakehashi Project— a youth exchange program between Japan and the United States – to heighten potential interest in Japan and to enhance international understanding of the "Japan brand.”

API and ACCESS will be selecting 12 individuals between the ages of 18 and 28 to participate in the program. The trip is heavily subsidized (transportation in Japan, three meals per day, and hotel accommodations) with participants only being responsible for the cost of airfare and any other personal expenses they accrue throughout the trip. This is a fantastic opportunity for hands on diplomatic experience as well as a chance for students and young professionals to familiarize themselves with Japanese culture and form relationships both with their fellow participants and with their Japanese counterparts.

You can find the link to the application here: Application.

The application deadline is August 30th.
